🔬 Research for Backend Developers

A very interesting survey from my colleague @d_r_q on the topic of "maintainable backends"

The team is trying to determine which factors truly impact the ease of maintaining and evolving a codebase

If you've worked for at least three months on a mature project that had been in development for at least six months before you joined—please come participate

👉 Participate here: https://forms.yandex.ru/cloud/685ccc62eb614635657832a4

📊 Research results will be published in fall 2025 on: https://maintable-backends.tilda.ws/

On my end, I'll mention that I've written two books on the subject:

**(λ) **Functional-Oriented Programming – a procedural-functional alternative to OOP

**🛌 **Fatigue Driven Development – literally a book about development best practices that simplify life and improve sleep

Always happy to receive feedback on both books 🙌

The survey is actually super, when can we expect the results?

Thanks :) Tentatively - by the end of autumn this year. We don't have enough data yet - about 55 questionnaires, and ideally - at least 100. So I plan to write a couple more PR posts for Habr, and then process the data, and then write the report... In short, there's still a ton of work to do.
