**Want a MasterCard for foreign purchases, and also with Apple/Google Pay?

In short, I made one for myself and I'm extremely happy, it's a really cool thing:

The Maps.me project allows you to open a non-custodial (I'll explain below) crypto wallet directly in their app, create a virtual MasterCard, and link it to Apple/Google Pay.

What you need to do

  1. Download the maps.me app
  2. Go to the wallet tab and click something like "I want a wallet"
  3. Go to the bot via the link https://t.me/N2ActivationCodeBot and get an activation code
  4. Enter the activation code in the app
  5. Pass KYC (confirmation via passport)
  6. Pay $10 for the card
  7. Voila, you have a virtual MasterCard that can be added to Apple/Google Pay and used to pay for any international services (worked on Airbnb and Onlyfans) and in stores/restaurants all over the world (I pay calmly in Turkey)

"Non-custodial" means that the private key to this wallet is personally yours, meaning you fully own the crypto wallet and can do whatever you want with it, outside of maps.me

How payment works

  1. You transfer cryptocurrency to the maps.me crypto wallet
  2. When creating the wallet, maps.me takes permission to withdraw funds from it
  3. A European bank creates a MasterCard account for you and links payments to your crypto wallet
  4. When you make a payment with MasterCard, they withdraw funds from your crypto wallet to their own, and then transfer the fiat currency (dollars, lira, euros, etc.) to the seller

The exchange rate is 1$ to 1USDC.

How to transfer money to it

USDC is the main cryptocurrency of the wallet, but you need to transfer using BUSD through Binance.

First, about converting fiat (may not be very clear, write in the comments for clarification):

  1. Binance is the most convenient platform
  2. Register and pass KYC via passport
  3. Go to the P2P tab (this is the board for buying/selling currencies)
  4. Choose a bank for transfer (Tinkoff definitely works)
  5. Choose a seller and buy BUSD (the current rate is 65 rubles per 1 BUSD)

If you have USDT:

  1. Go to the "trade" tab on Binance
  2. Choose "market" in the top right
  3. Choose BUSD
  4. Buy as much as you need (the rate is 1 to 1)

Now, how to transfer:

  1. In the maps.me app, copy the crypto wallet address
  2. Go to the spot, click withdraw
  3. Choose USDC
  4. Enter the address and Solana network
  5. Voila, you have money in your wallet

Today, MAPS.ME is asking for $1000 for the map release, not $10 at all 😕🤷‍♂️

Oh, looks like a big influx of customers

    Or they're testing the market

I'd also keep an eye on how the price changes

    It's already 10 again
